I know I’m not supposed to.

I know I’m not supposed to think ’bout you.

Yet, standin’ here in the midst of

Running life,

All I could think about is why things turned down,

Why couldn’t we hold each other Till dark turned hazy brown

Into a bright morning.

I know I’m not supposed to hear

Your voice.

Yet, curled up in the midst of This

long night,

I could hear you calling out my name,

Hands stretched out for mine.

I know I’m not supposed to relive

You, and me again.

Yet, working in the midst of one hectic-busy day,

Or socialising in the midst of Saturday parties,

I could see you hitting me playfully,

Smiling, crying along with Me.

I know I’m supposed to let it all flow,

Yet, I’m shutting my fists tight.

I know I’m not supposed to,

Yet, I am..
